I surprisingly slept well after the whole cockroach incident. I woke up at 7 to eat breakfast and start a day of touring. The breakfast was not the best I’ve ever had, but the view from where we ate made up for the breakfast. I had two pieces of bread plain lol. After breakfast, went down to the lobby to wait for the tour bus to pick us up. We first headed to the old lighthouse that is a castle now. We walked around the outside and went to touch the ocean. We then got back on the bus to go see the catacombs. They were huge and very different than the Italian catacombs that I've seen. They built rooms and houses under the ground with the dead. If their relatives were buried, they would go spend full days eating and celebrating their lives. After, we went to an old Roma structure that I did not see because I was feeling nauseous, so I stayed on the bus and took a nap. We then went to see the Christian church in town that was bombed in 2017 by ISIS. The church had a lot of security because Christians in Egypt are the majority. After the church, we went to the beach!! The beach was absolutely amazing. I can know say that I swam in the Mediterranean Sea!! We had to be covered while swimming though, so it was different and made swimming a little harder. I played in the waves for hours with Owen and Archer, and had to kinda save them a few times. After I dried off and got the wet sticky clothes off, I stood in the ocean and watched the waves crash for hours. As we stood in the water, every two minutes someone would come up and take a picture of us or sometimes a selfie. A nearby lifeguard saw this and helped us with all the locals wanting pictures. He made us a little VIP spot because we are Americans. At one point, we had a line of families waiting to take pictures with us. I really felt famous. I guess it was the long blond hair. We had to kinda run away after a while because it got overwhelming. After all the pictures, we had some sweet treats and left the beach. On our double decker bus, we stopped for dinner at the tour guide's favorite place. We had Egyptian pizza, called pie, that was was very good! They had sweet pies as well, so I got a chocolate filled one - amazing! After dinner, we headed towards the hotel, but got sidetracked cause two girls lost their luggage and needed shoes and I needed a bag because my suitcase was exploding. After we got what we needed, we went home to get ready for the next day.
