Woke up a little later this morning, like 8:30. Headed to the breakfast where I had some plain roast and coffee! Then, we gathered our luggage and headed to the bus. Mine has now grown as I have 4 bags. The bus ride took 2 hours. We arrived at the hotel, and it was not at all what I expected. It is not even a hotel. It is a retreat for Christians in the city to get away from the persecution. This place is amazing, and it is exactly what I needed. We all got our own rooms that where absolutely amazing. After we all settled into our rooms, we headed to the pool, and it was the first time we got to swim in our actual swimsuits. The pool was exactly what I needed. It felt great! After the pool, I headed back to my room to take some time to myself, I turned on my music, took a nice shower, and did some well needed grooming. Perfect timing for this retreat. This place is beautiful. After dinner, we watched the sunset from the roofs of our houses. Then we went off to their church service, where they almost chanted the service. No one lead it, it was a very cool experience. Then after church, I turned on my music and looked up at the stars. I even saw a shooting start. It amazes me that I can see the same stars in Egypt that I can see at home in Minnesota. We live in an amazing world. This place is beautiful, but the biggest problem is that it has no air conditioning, and I don’t think I have stopped sweating since I arrived. The sheets that I slept on are wet, which is kinda disgusting.
