Garden reading day - March 18th

I took my time getting up this morning. Anna and Isa had tickets to go inside the Louvre, but I did not want to go again. I woke up at about 11am and headed out for breakfast - surprise it was another crepe. After my crepe, I walked to the gardens by the Louvre. I sat in one of the chairs they leave in the garden and read my book in the sun for almost two hours. I was so peaceful and exactly what I needed. I got a little cold after a while, so I ended up walking to a café nearby where the coffee was amazing and I had a really good salad.

Eventually, I left to meet up with Anna and Isa again at a restaurant down the block. I had a glass of wine while they ate lunch. Not surprisingly, I stopped for another crepe on the way back to our hotel. We decided to take some down time before heading out for dinner. Anna and Isa took a nap. I decided to do a quick workout, as I was feeling guilty about the number of crepes I’d had!

I took a bath (the first time since before Christmas!) and slowly got ready. We headed to dinner a bit early so we could watch the Eiffel tower sparkle, but turns out it does not sparkle until 9 pm. They dinner was a cute place on the river. The food and service were not great (it took them 45 minutes to bring us the bill after we asked twice), but afterward, we walked along the river and watched the tower sparkle, taking classic videos and pictures.

We headed towards a wine bar I wanted to go to, but when we arrived, they were closing,s o we went to a bar down the street that was open. I had a couple glasses of wine and guess what - a crepe!

When we got back to the hotel, we laughed for two hours over the stupidest things; it was honestly so fun. Tomorrow we will wake up early to head back to the ship in Brest.

Recap of Paris -

  1. I wish San Diego had a Metro system.

  2. I averaged three crepes a day.

  3. I still love Paris!
