We took our time to get up and out of the airbnb, waited for Isa to meet us, and headed to breakfast. We went to a restaurant with a good brunch recommend by our airbnb owner. I had a an amazing breakfast sandwich.
We spent a bit of time shopping on the strip and then headed towards one of the main squares in downtown Lisbon where we got into a tuk tuk to head to a viewpoint area. My first tuk tuk experience was funny and we definitely got some looks.
After the viewpoint and a glass fresh lemonade, we called a taxi to take us to another part of town. The area was called the LX Factory, an old factory building that had been remade into really cute shops and restaurants. We wandered around the area, grabbed a drink, and then headed back to the airbnb for some downtime before dinner.
Anna and I had made a deal that we could not longer go to the American restaurants, so we made a reservation at a local Portuguese restaurant. We were clearly the only Americans in the restaurant. The waiters kept switching tables and came over to our table saying, “my American girls.” Anna, Isa, and I all shared a bottle of wine over dinner. The food was actually very good. We laughed and talked about the first half of the voyage and all the memories we have already made. It was a wonderful dinner.
After dinner Isa and I headed back to the airbnb and Anna went back to the ship (don't call it a "boat") because she had a field class the next day. Isa and I pretty much passed out immediately.
