Woke up later today at around 9:30am to get ready for my surf lesson!! I was so excited to surf.
Isa and I headed via taxi to the designated beach location for my lesson, outside of Lisbon across the river. When we arrived, the taxi left us in a very interesting spot. We both looked at each other and wondered where are we? We figured it out - we just had a walk through a little village area to the beach. I was happy Isa came with me though.
I wanted to surf in Portugal so bad and it was a surreal experience. I loved getting the lesson as I have been trying to get better at turning on my surf board. The instructor gave me drills and so many new tips that were incredibly helpful. The wave conditions were not great, but it was still so fun! And certainly not the waves we saw earlier in the week in Peniche for the World Surf tour stop.
Later, after a shower and relaxing, we had a couple drinks at a local bar while we waited for Anna. I had made reservations, but apparently the place does not exist. So we had to walk a bit in the rain to finally find a place that was open. The restaurant we ended up at was adorable. It was a bit expensive but it was worth it. After dinner, we headed back to the airbnb. We had plans to go out but got comfy in bed and just chilled instead.
