Lyon Tour Day

Woke up very late this morning, as my last post said. After our long night of sleep, we got showers and headed out on the town. Syd and I grabbed scooters and set out to the Basilica, as my friend from high school that is in Lyon for summer recommended. We decided to stop half way for lunch/breakfast at this cute local place right along a street market. We quickly found out that Lyon locals do not know English like Paris locals do. The menu was in all french, so we both ordered what we thought was a hamburger with the help of an American from California who knew a little French. The cafe employees were so friendly and were happy to see us try and speak the little French we knew. The food was amazing, as Lyon is known for. We then started to head back to the hotel as we only had an hour to get back. Sadly, we did not make it to the Basilica, but we enjoyed a beautiful walk back to the hotel.
