Malta Day One

It took a moment for the boat to get cleared. We finally got off the ship around 11:30 am and headed straight for food. I tried calling my phone provider because my phone has not been working since Italy at the end of December. I got hung up on after 30 minutes. While eating we were trying to coordinate a sunset boat tour which ended up working out with a lot of stress. But I'm so glad we did it!

We took a taxi to the north side of the island where we met our private tour guide. The boat tour took us to all the sea caves surrounding the island as well as the blue lagoon. The sea caves are beautiful, it is so cool they have formed over time. The caves we saw were the famous window caves (in Pirates of the Caribbean), the Betrie, and the Comino island caves.

After a tour around, he dropped us off at a makeshift doc so we could climb to the top and look over crystal bay. You could see the bottom of the water from the top of the hike. Another girl and I were embracing the sun and wore our swimsuits on the hike up. It was a bit cold but the sun warmed us up pretty quickly.

After the small hike we got back into the boat to go to the blue lagoon which was so pretty. We embraced the moment and went swimming! It was very cold when we first got in but after a bit I got used to the water temperature and just absolutely vibed in the lagoon. It was a surreal moment. :) After we were done swimming, we headed towards the island of Gozo to see the coastline while the sunset in St. Pauls Bay. It was so perfect!

After the tour, we headed back to the ship to shower and change before dinner. We walked into town for dinner. Valletta is so cute. We then headed back to the boat and called it a night because we had an early morning.
