Woke up late this morning after a long night of sleep. Still very tired and drowsy, but we are moving along with this sweet trip. We set out for breakfast at 11 am today, found a cute place near where we had dinner last night and had more crepes. We wanted to go see Notre Dame but didn’t think we could walk 10 miles in 45 minutes so we grabbed one of those scooters they are leaving in all the big cities now. Sydney couldn’t get a card to connect to the app, so we got on one together. I do not recommend doing this as we crashed at least 6 times, fell into a wall, almost hit some people, almost got hit by a car, a motorcycle decided to buzz the tower when we where on the road, and we did not make it to Notre Dame but we made it to the Louvre! The area around the Louvre is one of my favorite areas in Paris. Glad we made it here today. The houses and parks within the area are absolutely beautiful. We then set back to the hotel for our taxi ride. Sydney and I decided for the way home that we better find a way to get two scooters, not one. Let me tell you that it is much easier to ride the scooters alone. We zipped back to the hotel as we where already late for our ride to the train station. We made it back only 10 minutes late but just in time for our ride. Good thing we packed before we left the hotel this morning. We are now on are way to Lyon, which is in the south of France. Tune into the blog later for live updates for the USA Women’s World Cup soccer game today.
