Santorini

Woke up much later this morning. My stomach was so bad today, so I had to keep running to the bathroom.

Once we all got dressed for the day, we headed to the same restaurant we ate dinner at because it was the only place open again. They remembered us from the night before.

After the breakfast/lunch we headed to Oia. Oia is so pretty! It took my breath away. So because it’s winter we had the island to ourselves. All the sites and places were completely empty. It was so unbelievably beautiful. I really want to come back in the summertime when everything is open.

We explored a couple areas in Oia, we saw the postcard blue church and the all white houses. Also jumped over a fence to get into the old ruins, one of the shop owners told us to do it. It was so beautiful. It was on a little peninsula so the view was amazing.

After the trip, we headed back to the metro. The bus ride was gorgeous. I want to move here, so looks like I need a Greek man.

After we got off the bus, we stopped at this gyro place. It was so so good. After the quick food stop we headed back to the airbnb to watch the sunset. It was so pretty. While the sun set we explored more of the places around our hotel. Everything is vacant, not sure if it is out of business or off-season. My takeaway from this day is I love this island.

Once we got back to the airbnb, we all took a second to pull ourselves together and then we headed back to the same restaurant for the fourth time. The waiter made a comment about how loud we were the day before and said we needed to be quieter. Classic Americans.

After dinner we met up with more SAS people at the bar. The bar was actually playing music! We met some locals and they bought us drinks. We hung out at the bar for a while before headed back to the airbnb. As soon as we got back I passed out, I was so tired.
