Started the morning off with a breakfast crepe and pancake. After breakfast, I headed back to the hotel to grab my book. Anna and Isa headed to the shopping mall and I headed to the main park to read. I walked around St. Andrew Square Garden for a bit before heading to another park. I found the best spot in the grass with the sun on my face in the Princess Street Gardens. I read my book for almost 1.5 hours before I meet up with my friends again.
Later that day, we had a tea and whiskey tour scheduled. When we arrived at the tour spot, they informed us that it had been overbooked and we should have received a notification that the tour had been cancelled. This made me frustrated because I had already been charged twice and then the company cancelled on us but did not inform us until we arrived.
I instead ended up walking around the city alone for a bit to all the sites I had not yet seen. I first headed towards New Town Edinburgh. The city was very clean and felt very homie. I loved it right away when we arrived. I went to Circus Street, it is a row of houses with colorful doors and flowers that a lot of tourist visit. I walked along it taking my time while listening to music. It was very peaceful. After I had walked the entire row, I headed towards another area that was a common attraction. The walk to the location was beautiful. I walked along a river on a dirt path where tons of runners and walkers were doing their daily activities. Kids and colleges students were also hanging out on the riverbank. After about a 20 minute walk, I arrived at the Dean Square. It was the central location for the University in Edinburgh. It was positioned around the same river I walked along, it was beautiful. I then headed back towards the main square of the city to meet back up with Anna and Isa.
We had a whiskey tasting scheduled on The Royal Mile. Let's just say I am not a whiskey girl. I could only finish the first two tasting glasses but it was fun. After the tasting, we stopped for dinner at a place just around the corner before heading back towards the hotel.
Isa and I tried to go to some clubs later in the night but she unfortunately did not have her ID so no places would let us in. We just ended up going to a bar near the hotel and had a pitcher of some fruity drink.
