St. Patrick’s Day - March 17th

The next mooring started later, as we were very tired. We got brunch around 11 am after taking the metro to a place that I had found that was so cute. The waiter loved us, the cute American girls he said. After we finished eating, we headed straight to the Eiffel tower. We walked around it and took some pictures before heading down the river where we got on a river tour. It was a cool way to see the most popular places quickly.

After the river tour, we I got another crepe (of course) before we headed to the Arc de Triomphe where we took pictures and then went shopping for a bit. While Anna and Isa wanted to keep shopping, I was over it so I headed back alone. I took the Metro and got off early, so I could walk past the Notre Dame Cathedral, which I'd last seen only weeks before the fire. It was crazy seeing it after it had burnt. The entire backside was completely gone. The only real part of the structure still standing is the front two pillars. I was weird seeing it before and now.

I had a very peaceful walk about to the hotel. When I got back, I decided to stop at a restaurant for another crepe and a drink. The crepe was so good. It was Nutella with caramelized bananas. It was hands down the best crepe I have ever had. I stopped at a supermarket to get a few things and then headed back to the hotel with a bottle of champagne. I sat on the porch and watched the sun set over the Seine River. It was such a beautiful sunset, the moment felt fake.

After the sunset, I headed to an Irish pub to celebrate St. Patricks’ day where I met up with a group of girls from the ship. The bar gave us hats and blinking sunglasses - it was a fun atmosphere. After a bit, we headed to another pub down the street with great music and it was packed. We had some drinks and then headed out to meet one of the girl's friends at another location called Ground Control. They were not celebrating St. Patrick’s Day so that was a bit awkward given how we were now dressed, but it was still very fun. We stayed until the place closed, as this seems to be a theme. The people we were with are from Paris, so they took us to their favorite club which was a bit dead, however, still very fun. We called it a night around 2 am.
