We had to wake up early after a late night to head outside of the city as we had booked a hike and sauna excursion. We woke up around 8 to get a 45-minute taxi to a smaller neighborhood outside of town. We had to knock on the front door of the family home. It was a little weird but after getting settled, we headed into the woods. The walk was absolutely beautiful, ending at a lake with a falling down house, campfire, and bench. Our guide made us a breakfast/lunch crepe over the fire while we enjoyed the nature. Whatever she made was amazing - I ate three! After a bit, we headed back to where we started the hike. It ended back at her family home and rental property.
We changed into our swimsuits and headed for the sauna. She sat with us for a bit and showed us how to properly use a sauna, saying it would help our hangovers. It was very cute as she was very passionate. Right near the end of our time, she made the sauna incredibly hot then took us outside and dumped a huge bucket of ice water onto our heads. It was a very fun experience.
We headed bak to the city afterwards. We all took a second to sit down before getting dressed up for the Royal Ballet. It was a contemporary show, so Anna (who danced previously) had to explain most of what was happening to Laney and me. As non-dancers, we did not follow.
After the ballet, we quickly changed then headed out to meet SAS students at a bar one last time. It was a weeknight so not much was open but with the power of SAS (lots of students wanting to get drunk and spend money), we got a bar to open up an entire section just for us. All lot of locals ended up drinking with us as well as a professional swimming team from Denmark. It was the perfect last night in a port!
