Woke up at 8 this morning, then quickly walked over to the main house grabbed food and got onto the bus by 8:15 to head to the beach. We took the school children to a local beach as our activity today. We arrived at the beach at 9 am. We waited a little while for them to show up, but once they did it was full on chaos. The children changed right in the middle of the beach, kinda funny, they also don’t really have swimsuits so we brought them some, cause they don’t have swimsuits they didn’t understand how to put them on. Most children had the suit on backwards and or inside out. Once they where all changed they quickly ran to swim. They where so cute in the water, splashing and jumping up and down with their smilies. After a while I left with some kids to make sandcastles and play in the sand. They are so cute especially when we gave them sand toys, their imaginations are amazing. I mostly played with the children on the beach, but I eventually went back into the water to help Cathleen watch the children swimming. We had also brought them floaty’s, they absolutely loved to ride the waves on the floatys. I have two girls on this aligrator holding on so tight to me as the waves came in and pushed the floaty all around. After a while we bought all the children up from the beach and had the change so we could eat. Stella brought food again for all the children and us. She made a traditional Tanzanian food, it was French fries, they call them chips, in a omelet basically. It was actually so good. Once lunch was done we said our goodbyes to the children and finally headed home at 2 pm. We then had a little bit on free time, that I used to write this, then got on the bus to head to play Ivo’s soccer team. We first tried to go to where Brandon and Amanda taught when they lived here 10 years ago, but they would not let us in even though we called the school coordinator. We then went back to the fields by the house instead. Ivo lead the warm up and it was more like a workout. We then did some skill work and slowly transitioned into 5 vs 5 games, it was so damn tireding. We then took lots more pictures and gave just hanged out with the kids. One kid could speak very good English, he was so funny me and Brittany probably talked to him for 30 minutes. After all the pictures we gave them 5 soccer balls, their where so excited to get them. We finally left the field and arrived home. The pizza was on extreme Tanzania time, it took them 3 mores hours than when they said it would be ready.
